Stretching along the iconic Promenade des Anglais, Nice's city beach runs for miles and is made up of pebbly shores. During summer, the beach is divided into a mix of private and paid sections operated by hotels, restaurants, and beach clubs, with a few free public areas in between. One of the gay-friendly spots along this stretch is Castel Plage, a paid beach section offering sunbeds, shade umbrellas, and a beach restaurant.

A scenic stony beach with crystal-clear water nestled between Nice and Monaco. From Nice, you can reach it by car or bus departing from the port area. Ride along the stunning Côte d'Azur coastline and alight at Parking Saint-Laurent d'Eze. From there, walk along the street for about two minutes, turn right, and head down the path to the beach. To find the gay and nudist-friendly section, turn right at the beach, climb the stairs at the far end, and follow the rugged path that winds over the rocks.
